SUNRUI Showcases Innovative Marine Clean Energy Solutions at Tokyo International Maritime Exhibition

The Tokyo International Maritime Exhibition, a globally renowned platform for shipowners, shipyards, and marine equipment suppliers, commenced with grandeur at the Tokyo Big Sight on April 10, 2024. This exhibition provides a high-level showcase of shipbuilding technologies, equipment, and related products and services.

In the morning session, SUNRUI, a leading player in the marine industry, held a prestigious product launch event for its GasLink® marine clean energy supply system. The event was attended by over a hundred guests, including Sheng Jigang, member of the Party Group and Vice General Manager of China Shipbuilding Corporation, Xu Jian, Deputy Director of the 725th Institute and Director of SUNRUI, as well as Fu Hongtian, Party Secretary and General Manager of SUNRUI, along with representatives from shipowners, shipyards, classification societies, and maritime research institutions.

During the event, SUNRUI’s representatives elaborated on the technical principles and process flow of the company’s ammonia fuel supply system, highlighting the system design, certification, and production status of the world’s first industrial application project signed by the company last year. Following the product presentation, technical personnel from several shipowners and shipyards engaged in in-depth discussions with SUNRUI’s staff on topics such as differentiated system design, supply scope and lead time, operational costs, and safety.

In the evening, SUNRUI hosted a client appreciation event at the Tokyo First Hotel. Over 150 representatives from Japanese shipowners such as NYK Line, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, and Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, as well as shipyards including Imabari Shipbuilding, Oshima Shipbuilding, and Namura Shipbuilding, attended the event.

The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Xu Jian, who expressed sincere gratitude to the guests for their presence and long-standing support for SUNRUI’s development, especially the Japanese clients. Xu Jian introduced SUNRUI’s latest developments, emphasizing the company’s commitment to enhancing customer experience in product usage and after-sales service. He reiterated SUNRUI’s dedication to continuous research and technological advancement to provide high-quality products and services to Japanese and global customers.

Fu Hongtian reviewed SUNRUI’s achievements in the Japanese market over the past decade, providing detailed insights into the company’s development in areas such as innovative ship ballast water management systems, marine clean energy supply systems, and carbon capture systems. He outlined SUNRUI’s globalization strategy, aftermarket service network construction, and future development direction, expressing the company’s aspiration for deeper and broader cooperation with Japanese clients to achieve mutual growth.

In his remarks, Jinfuji Michihiro, Director of the Maritime Department at Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK Line), commended SUNRUI for its achievements in pollution prevention and emission reduction, stating that SUNRUI’s success in these areas is in line with the long-standing mission and goals of the shipping industry. NYK Line and SUNRUI have had many years of cooperation, and Jinfuji expressed hope for further exchanges and communication between the two parties to achieve new cooperation in new areas.

Seino Yoichiro, President of Seino Kaiun Co., Ltd., emphasized SUNRUI’s importance as a strategic partner of Seino Kaiun, with both parties sharing mutual trust and consistent development concepts. He highlighted their deep cooperation in areas such as ship ballast water treatment and ship exhaust gas desulfurization, applauding SUNRUI’s provision of high-quality products and efficient services. He expressed hope for broader cooperation in the fields of clean energy supply systems and carbon capture systems in the future.

Akihiro Yamauchi, Executive Officer of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, praised SUNRUI for its innovation-driven approach and continuous introduction of new technologies and products. He recognized SUNRUI as a well-known high-end marine equipment manufacturer, whose research, design, production, and delivery capabilities are widely recognized in the industry. With the evident trend of decarbonization in the maritime industry today, he hoped to continue expanding and deepening cooperation with SUNRUI in the field of green shipping.
